Brackenbury Cottage is quietly situated on Beddgelert village green, but just 2 minutes walk across the footbridge over the river to the vibrant village centre with local shops, pubs and restaurants.

Originally a 'one-up one-down' worker's cottage, Brackenbury has Grade 2 listing for its mining heritage. We have sympathetically extended the cottage over the years and it now provides spacious accommodation, with the original 'one up, one down' rooms furnished in a traditional manner to maintain their original charm.

Beddgelert is in the heart of Eryri/Snowdonia, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery - much of which is owned by the National Trust. It is ideally placed for reaching all parts of the Snowdonia National Park, as well as the Anglesey and Llyn Peninsula Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

If you're looking for quiet relaxation, stunning beaches, mountain walks and/or adventure activities, this is the place to come. And whether you want to explore the outdoors with your four-legged friends, visit local eateries or just curl up by the fire with a book or movie, we assure you a warm welcome.

What people say about us

"Well again we have had a fantastic week; the cottage is charming, just as we remembered it. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the cottage and beautiful Beddgelert."

Paula, Meirion and girls, Neath

"...it was really super-comfortable, warm and extremely well found. We didn't need anything, even for cooking our Christmas dinner...and a real bonus having the boiler room to dry everything after getting soaked everyday. Even the dogs appreciated the warmth and radiator above their bed!”

Mr & Mrs S, Wiltshire
